It is said that women who are close with one another will begin to ebb and flow together as with the tide. It's as though the moon pulls them in exactly the same rhythm. Early in 2005, three such women, artists, friends and peers, found themselves in the family way. It began with one announcing she was due in mid October. Many congratulations and much love was poured on the expectant mum. Then, a few weeks later, a second announced that she was also waiting for a visit from the stork, this time in late November. And then remarkably, unbelievably--and frankly a little spookily--the third announced her impending pumpkin patch arrival, also in November. Several months passed while the three creative friends worked on their biggest creative projects yet, complete with much morning sickness and exhaustion. As time passed and they settled into the new size of their bellies, one of the three came up with an idea. "Wouldn't it be fun to do a project together? All about babies?"

There came in reply a pregnant pause--quite literally. And then Kaleb McElfish was born in October. Followed by Joseph Galbreth in early November, and toddling along behind was Antonia Tarrolly in late November.

Eventually the two other artists said, "A project together could be a lot of fun!" And so ThreeFairyBabies.com was born not long after the real live three fairy babies were born.
